If finally emerged for serious work in 1962 when sent to the Royal Ordnance Factory at
Eastriggs in Scotland.
In 1971 it was transferred to the M.o.D. depot at Cold Meece in Staffs, from where it
was purchased and arrived at Yaxham in 1986.
Unlike the other two locos of this type at Yaxham, this loco is fitted with a spark
arrester. This loco is seen following a complete repaint in 2001, in original WD colours.
